Booking a show

To book please call Impeyan Productions on 01992 446 211. The normal term time office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm. During holiday periods, the times will vary and the answer message will give details of our office hours during the period.

Out of office hours, we ask kindly for you not to leave a message but hope that you can call back during the stated times.

Provisional bookings can be made, for which we will hold one date for one working day.

Bookings can only be made by telephone followed by completetion of the booking information form found on the link below. We ask respectfully that your form be sent within three days of making your booking. The information that is requested on the form is mandatory so that there can be no confusion regarding your booking. On receipt of the form, we will then send a confirmation to you.

Venue

All of our shows have to be carried out indoors or, if nowhere else is available, inside a marquee or gazebo as long as there is a roof and sides. In most cases we do not use microphones.

We put a floor covering down which is around 3m x 2m, the children will sit either in front of or around this. Behind the floor covering we set up a small screen and keep the travelling cases behind this. We ask kindly for three classroom style or dinning room style chairs to be made available for the entertainer and the volunteers that will be invited out of the audience.

To comply with our health and safety guidelines, there must be hand washing facilities available.

It is imperative that car parking is available for the entertainer either on site or in close proximity. If parking is not available, we may not be able to carry out your booking. If the area of the venue is regularly congested with parked cars or if parking is by meter, we suggest a car be positioned to reserve a space. If there are parking restrictions at the venue, a voucher must be provided by the client. Meters will be paid for by the entertainer. In some cases for Central London, meters may only allow parking for two hours. This negates that only a one hour show is possible unless alternative parking arrangements can be made. In all cases, we aim to arrive in the area of a venue around an hour beforehand to allow for any traffic problems and in case we have to wait for parking or a meter to become available. We regret that if parking is not secured for the entertainer, we cannot guarantee completion of a booking. If this situation arises and a show cannot go ahead, the entertainer and Impeyan Productions shall not be held liable. The client would be liable for the full cost of the booking.

Payment

All private bookings (including fetes) must be paid for in cash on the day. We regret that we are unable to accept cheques from private individuals. For educational establishements, payment can be made by cheque or BACS. Official groups such as Scouts, Guides etc. and corporate events may pay by cheque. An invoice will be presented on the day or sent in advance if requested. We do not ask for a deposit - receipt of your confirmation is all that is required. For agencies hiring our services, we must receive a cheque in advance of the date of the event or from the client on the day. Under no circumstances will Impeyan Productions provide credit to any individual, company or establishment.

Contracts

The contract for the event is held between the client and the entertainer, not Impeyan Productions.

Cancellation by a client within two weeks of the booking will incur a 100% charge unless there are exrtenuating circumstances making the event impossible to carry out. Although we allow a very generous amount of travelling time for potential delays, in the unlikely event that the entertainer encounters a delay whilst travelling to a show, they will contact the client immediately to inform of the situation. A booking may not be cancelled by a client as a result of a delay were the engagement will still be possible. If a show is not possible due to non-liability of the entertainer, an alternative date will be arranged.

In the event of an entertainer experiencing extenuating circumstances i.e severe illness, close berevement etc.an alternative entertainer will honour the booking as arranged. If this is not possible, the original entertainer will offer a complementary show at a later date. Any substitute date must be booked within three months of the original date and may not be carried over past one year of the original date.

Information for agencies

For events booked via agencies, the show will only give out literature given to him/her by the agency; Impeyan Productions literature will not be issued.
